Windsor police are actively probing a brazen theft incident involving a semi-trailer loaded with over $160, 000 worth of beef. This daring theft occurred in broad daylight earlier this month.

According to official reports, the trailer, which contained 530 boxes of boneless beef chuck roast, was swiped from a parking facility on Cabana Road East, situated near Windsor International Airport, on August 2 at approximately 6:30 p.m.

Investigators suspect that a dark grey Jeep Rubicon, accompanied by a white Cascadia Freightliner, was instrumental in the execution of this crime. Witnesses spotted two individuals breaking into the truck, subsequently hooking it up to the trailer and making their escape. The getaway vehicle is believed to have traveled eastbound on Highway 401.

The first suspect has been described as slender with long, curly dark hair and was clad entirely in black. The second individual was seen wearing dark trousers, a light-colored shirt, and a dark baseball cap.

Windsor police are appealing to residents and local businesses along Cabana Road East—specifically between Walker Road and Baseline Road—to scrutinize any available security or dashcam footage that might provide clues regarding the incident.
