The Snap and Salvage quest stands as one of the most challenging missions in the Stella Mortis area of ARC Raiders. This quest features four significant objectives, each presenting its own unique set of challenges that players must navigate.
Below is a detailed walkthrough for successfully completing the Snap and Salvage quest assigned by Tian Wen in ARC Raiders.
Comprehensive Guide to the Snap and Salvage Quest in ARC Raiders

To complete the Snap and Salvage quest, players must accomplish the following objectives:
- Capture a photograph of any Rover in the Sandbox area.
- Investigate the documents located within the Security Checkpoint room near the Lobby.
- Deliver a Magnetron to Tian Wen.
- Deliver a Flow Controller to Tian Wen.
Each objective can be tackled individually, allowing you to focus on one task at a time without the immediate pressure of survival or extraction.
Locating the Rover in the Sandbox

Navigating through Stella Mortis can be bewildering, especially for newcomers due to the numerous locked doors and intricate pathways. The Rover you need to photograph can be found in the Robotics Sandbox, situated on the ground floor. To switch layers on the map, press “E” while viewing it.
The entrance to the Robotics Sandbox is marked on the map above. After locating this entry point, make your way inside. There are directional signs on the wall to assist you.

Once inside the Robotics Sandbox, proceed down the hallway. You’ll notice a large window on your right, providing a view of the Sandbox area. At the end of the hall, turn right and continue toward the Sandbox. You can either use the lift or jump down directly. The Rover is located within the Sandbox itself. Stand behind it to take the required photo; there’s no need for binoculars in this instance, similar to the requirements in the Reduced to Rubble quest.
Finding Papers in the Security Checkpoint Room

Locating the Security Checkpoint room is a more straightforward task. Head towards the Lobby, which serves as a central and open area on the map. Look for the security desk and reference the map provided. Behind this desk, you’ll spot a breachable door. Enter through it and take a right turn.
Inside, search for the large desks adorned with computers and loot containers. The papers you’re seeking will be situated atop the desk next to a computer.
Acquiring the Magnetron and Flow Controllers

The Magnetron and Flow Controllers are part of the new Exodus materials introduced in the North Line update. These items can be quite rare and require some luck to locate. A recommended strategy for finding these items is to search the containers depicted in the image above.
Both containers shown are located within the Security Checkpoint room, adjacent to the papers. Many players have reported success in obtaining new materials from these containers following the North Line update.
Additional containers can be found in the upper rooms of the Security Checkpoint. Moreover, these items may also be scattered throughout the larger Stella Mortis environment.
Since Magnetrons and Flow Controllers are classified as “Exodus”loot, they can also be located in other maps featuring Exodus materials, such as the Rocket Assembly area in Spaceport among others.
