Dr Disrespect, also known as Guy Beahm, has experienced a significant decline in his viewership on YouTube and Rumble since he began streaming on the latter platform in 2024. Although his initial debut on Rumble attracted over 40, 000 viewers, this number has dramatically dropped, raising concerns about his long-term engagement with fans.

On November 25, 2024, Rumble made headlines by announcing their partnership with Dr Disrespect. The plan was for him to spearhead the platform’s gaming division and create original content exclusively for Rumble Premium subscribers. Despite simultaneously streaming on YouTube, his ability to maintain high viewer counts has waned over time, despite being the most-watched gaming figure on Rumble.

Challenges in Viewership Growth for Dr Disrespect

According to Nazar Babenko, the Product Manager at Streams Charts, Dr Disrespect’s early 2025 viewership metrics on Rumble have revealed a more accurate representation of his audience engagement. Notably, YouTube has not been kind to him either, with considerable drops in his usual numbers.

The struggles for Dr Disrespect can be traced back to allegations surrounding his departure from Twitch. In the summer of 2024, former Twitch employees alleged that he had sent inappropriate messages to a minor. Beahm acknowledged the allegations in a deleted tweet, referring to some conversations as “sometimes leaning too much in the direction of being inappropriate.”

After a brief break from streaming, he returned to YouTube, albeit without monetization. He alleged that his ban was part of a scheme by Twitch staff to silence him, asserting that the messages were misconstrued. Unable to regain monetization on YouTube, Dr Disrespect opted to multistream on Rumble, a move that Streams Charts suggests may have fragmented his dedicated audience.

Between January 1-28, 2025, Dr Disrespect noted a staggering 50% decrease in average viewers, with peak numbers barely surpassing 7, 000 on Rumble. As Babenko pointed out, his combined viewership across both platforms has diminished since his switch to Rumble, indicating a troubling trend for the streamer.

New Low on YouTube: Dr Disrespect’s Struggles Continue

January 2025 was particularly harsh for Dr Disrespect, who streamed popular titles like Call of Duty and the trending Marvel Rivals yet faced his lowest viewership figures to date on YouTube. Babenko pointed out, “As things currently stand, Dr Disrespect’s preliminary January results on YouTube are alarming. Although he remains a formidable figure in streaming, January has seen his lowest average and peak viewer counts.”

According to data from Streams Charts, Dr Disrespect peaked at 20, 896 viewers on YouTube, with an average of just 12, 003. The reasons behind this downturn are not entirely clear, but multistreaming appears to be a contributing factor. Even after increasing his airtime by 17% in recent months, his audience engagement has faltered on both platforms.

In October 2024, he consistently reached over 20, 000 average viewers on YouTube, a figure that he has not been able to replicate since late November, with the subsequent month seeing his viewership dip below 10, 000 average viewers. Babenko concludes, “The current data indicates a continuing decline in his overall viewership.”
