Recent reports indicate that Fable 4 will make its debut not only on Xbox but also on PlayStation consoles for the first time in the series history. Excitingly, both platforms are expected to feature a simultaneous launch.

In a discussion on the January 9 episode of their podcast, VGC’s Andy Robinson addressed inquiries regarding Microsoft’s broader multiplatform approach, particularly in relation to upcoming titles like Fable 4 and Forza Horizon 6.

Fable 4 Set for Simultaneous Release on PS5

When asked by VGC’s Jordan Miller if Fable could potentially have a simultaneous launch on PS5 alongside Xbox, Robinson confirmed, “Fable is day and date. That’s what I’ve been told, ” but he later added a note of caution, expressing that “I imagine it’s day and date, ” emphasizing that details could change rapidly.

There seems to be growing momentum behind the idea that Fable 4 will indeed launch simultaneously on both Xbox and PlayStation platforms. Robinson acknowledged, “This is where the insiders ‘misstep, ’ right? Those are the sorts of details that can be changed a week or a day before.” He further reiterated his belief in its PS5 launch, stating, “Yes, it’s coming to PS5. I’d expect it to be day and date because I know [Microsoft] has been targeting PS5 for a while.”

In contrast, Robinson shared that Forza Horizon 6 will not benefit from a simultaneous release. He explained, “The explanation I heard from someone who’s there is that it just wasn’t ready.”

Fable 4 is currently under development by Playground Games and is being positioned as a reboot of the beloved RPG series. Although the game has been confirmed for Xbox platforms, Microsoft has yet to officially announce its arrival on PlayStation or provide any details regarding the timing of the launch across all platforms.
