Update 2.1.1 was highly anticipated by Diablo 4 players, mainly because it aimed to rectify major concerns like the decreased spawn rate of Forgotten Altars. Blizzard released this patch on Tuesday, February 4th. However, shortly after its deployment, many players on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox reported that the game’s visual elements appeared altered, leading to a less than satisfying gaming experience.
Notably, loot label background colors inexplicably shifted to red, and the user interface (UI) adopted a darker hue. Fortunately for players, there exists a quick workaround to revert these changes.
Steps to Adjust Diablo 4 Color Settings Post-Patch 2.1.1

For Console Players (PS5 and Xbox)
To rectify the color settings, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the ‘Game’ menu
- Select the ‘Options’ button
- Access the ‘Graphics’ tab
- Toggle the ‘Enhanced Visuals’ option to ON, then click ‘Save Changes’
- Return to toggle ‘Enhanced Visuals’ to OFF and save changes again
For PC Players
PC users may find it helpful to follow these guidelines:
- Open the ‘Options’ page
- Select ‘Accessibility’
- Find and click on the ‘Color Blind Filter’ option
- Cycle through all three listed color filter options, saving each time you switch
