Twitch streamer India Love has issued an apology following a contentious moment at The Streamer Awards, where she controversially challenged the winner of the Breakout Streamer of the Year award during the event.
The 2025 Streamer Awards took place on December 6, organized by QTCinderella to celebrate notable performances from creators throughout the year. Highlights include Kai Cenat’s success at Mafiathon 3, IShowSpeed being honored as Streamer of the Year, and BurntPeanut receiving the award for VTuber of the Year, despite some dissent from the VTubing community.
India Love sparked a backlash during the ceremony when she interrupted the proceedings after FaZe Adapt was announced as the recipient of the Breakout Streamer award. In a provocative statement, she asserted, “Breakout streamer of the year went to Adapt and congratulations. However, Rakai should have won this award along with DDG. I don’t care what y’all say.” This declaration was met with boos from the audience, ultimately leading her to exit the stage.

India Love’s Response to Backlash
The incident drew criticism, with FaZe member Kaysan labeling it “disrespectful, ” and many onlookers likening her outburst to Kanye West’s infamous interruption of Taylor Swift at the VMAs. Following the uproar, India Love took to her stream to sincerely apologize for her behavior, describing it as “selfish.”
“I truly want to apologize to QT for my actions. Thank you for the invitation, and there is absolutely no justification for the way I behaved. It was inappropriate and uncalled for. I was reacting impulsively and had no right to be on that stage, ” she stated during her stream.
She extended her apologies to FaZe Adapt, acknowledging that her actions overshadowed his achievement.“I failed to consider your feelings and just acted on my impulses. I regrettably took away from your moment, and for that, I am genuinely sorry, ” Love expressed.
In her reflection, Love admitted the need to improve herself and pledged to take action to prevent future disappointments, describing herself as a “work in progress.”
Moreover, she noted that she was “okay” with revealing the “highs and lows” of her life, especially in light of the circumstances post-show.
