Players of Marvel Rivals are expressing their frustration as they believe that Magneto’s ultimate ability, known as “Meteor M, ” is currently flawed. The community has voiced their concerns and is calling for the developers, NetEase, to implement a much-needed rework in an upcoming update.
Although Marvel Rivals has quickly become a standout title among hero-shooter games, it has not been immune to glitches and bugs. Players frequently report various in-game issues online, hoping for a swift response and resolution from the developers.
Chaos Caused by Magneto’s Ultimate Ability
The inaugural season of the game introduced significant adjustments, including buffs and nerfs to several heroes, responding to player feedback since its launch. Yet, Magneto remains an exception, with gameplay challenges stemming from his ultimate ability.
A recent post on Reddit showcased a clip where a player utilizes Meteor M, only to have it fail by passing directly through opponents without inflicting any damage.

Community Reaction and Call for Change
Many members of the Marvel Rivals community quickly chimed in, drawing from their own experiences with the character. One player humorously noted that targeting the ground next to their intended enemy yielded better results than aiming directly at the foe.
This consensus resonated throughout the comments, indicating that adjusting the aim of Meteor M to the floor offers a more reliable means of dealing splash damage, as opposed to the actual hitbox of the character.
Additional observations pointed out the visual inconsistencies of the ability in gameplay, with users commenting that the hitbox for Meteor M appears “massively off” and doesn’t correlate with what players see during matches.

Concerns regarding this issue are not limited to Reddit. Users on X (formerly Twitter) have also raised similar alarms over the performance of Meteor M.
With these developments gaining traction, many players feel relieved to know their struggles are shared. They collectively agree that Magneto’s ultimate ability requires changes, and there is hope that the developers are listening to their feedback.
