In Hollow Knight: Silksong, one of the most engaging side quests involves locating the Druid and gathering three precious mossberries. This task encapsulates Team Cherry’s signature approach to gameplay, emphasizing exploration, secrecy, and rewards that resonate later in the game. Personally, I became instantly captivated, intending only to investigate Moss Grotto briefly, yet I found myself lost in the quest until well past midnight, thoroughly searching for vibrant, glowing berries amidst the twisting vines.
If you’re having trouble finding these elusive berries or prefer a guided shortcut, you’ve come to the right place. Below is a detailed guide to streamline your efforts in the game.
Locating the Druid in Silksong

The Druid resides within Mosshome, an area characterized by verdant environments, diverse spores, and formidable foes. Successfully reaching him can enhance your gameplay significantly.
Using the Elevator

For players who have previously explored Moss Grotto and are commencing from Dirtmouth—especially after initiating the Berry Picking Wish—the Druid can be accessed much more efficiently. Follow these steps:
- Utilize the elevator to descend into Moss Grotto and ascend thereafter.
- Upon reaching the downward pointing sign, veer right into Mosshome.
- Utilize the platforms to your right, favoring the higher ground as you navigate eastward.
- Temporarily enter the Marrow to explore the elevated areas above the bench, then proceed left.
- Pass the snail enemies on your way left, climbing onto the platforms above ground level.
- Exit this area by taking the path above.
- Be vigilant through this section, as it is riddled with traps including potential spikes.
- Stay to the right, moving past a carved wood sign. If the Silkspear skill hasn’t been acquired yet, ascend and collect it.
- For those who -have- unlocked the Silkspear skill, continue to the right to access the subsequent area seamlessly.
Navigating Without the Elevator

If you haven’t unlocked the elevator situated east of Dirtmouth, use the following alternative route:
- Exit eastward and enter The Marrow.
- Ascend and proceed leftward until you encounter the map merchant.
- To her left, three pathways lead to Mosshome; choose the uppermost exit.
- Navigate past the snail enemies to the left, climbing onto the higher platforms.
- Depart this sector via the exit above.
- Exercise caution in this area, as it conceals various traps.
- Stick right past a wooden sign. If the Silkspear skill is not yet acquired, make sure to grab it.
- If you possess the Silkspear skill, proceed directly to the next area on the right and utilize your skill to continue onward.
How to Collect Three Mossberries
Mossberry #1

Your first Mossberry lies just beyond the prison location, shortly after Hornet breaks free. Head left past the lake, ascend, and traverse the elevated platforms to your right. Eventually, you will encounter a fork, where taking the upward path leads you directly to your first Mossberry.
Mossberry #2

The second Mossberry is located higher up in a tall room further along. You might have noticed it yet were uncertain how to reach it. Execute a pogo jump on a nearby flying bug to acquire this berry. To perform a pogo, jump onto the enemy, press down on the D-pad, and attack (Square on PS).
A useful technique involves waiting on the left platform for the bug to approach, facilitating a pogo leap to the berry. If the bug perishes, simply exit left, re-enter the area, and retry. Alternatively, consider returning once you’ve unlocked the Dash skill for an easier grab.
Mossberry #3

For your third and final Mossberry, head to the elevator area within Mosshome. You’ll hear a curious noise; look down to find a bug flying while carrying the berry. To collect it, stand on the first platform to the right of the elevator and await the insect’s approach. As it swings from right to left, it flies notably higher, making it ideal for a pogo hit. Be prepared to retry this jump a few times, as it may take several attempts for the berry to drop.
Berry Picking Wish Reward

Upon fulfilling the Druid’s request, you are rewarded with the Druid’s Eye amulet, which can be equipped in the left inventory slot at any bench. This valuable item causes green elixirs to drop when Hornet sustains damage. Collecting these elixirs restores a small amount of Silk, proving particularly useful as a safety net in the early stages of the game, allowing players to learn enemy attack patterns while sustaining exchanges.
As long as Steam remains stable, players can now fully enjoy the game alongside a burgeoning community of half a million enthusiastic participants.
