Currently, the ChatGPT app is exclusively accessible to Plus, Enterprise, Team, and Education subscribers. Ensure you are running version 24H2 or a later release to find the “Customize Copilot key on keyboard” option. If you do not see this setting, it may be necessary to update your device to the November 2024 cumulative update or a newer version.
Note that this customization only applies to the official ChatGPT app; it does not extend to the web app accessible through browsers like Edge or Chrome.
For users who have installed ChatGPT as a web app, a convenient alternative is to pin it to your Taskbar, ideally in close proximity to the Start button. This way, you can quickly launch the application using the “Windows key + 1” keyboard shortcut.
