In online gaming, the term “squads”often refers to small teams or parties composed of two or more players working together to complete various challenges. In the world of Monster Hunter Wilds, squads take on a larger significance, accommodating up to 50 players within a single community. These groups foster camaraderie and collaboration among players, enhancing the gameplay experience.

Though players may refer to them as clans or guilds—terms commonly used in other gaming landscapes—the core idea remains the same. Here, we will delve into how you can create and join squads in Monster Hunter Wilds, as well as the benefits that come with being part of these vibrant communities.

The hub for all squad-related activities is Felicita, located at the Squad Information Counter, which is conveniently situated near the central tent in the game. Players can interact with Felicita to manage their squads, even if they haven’t formed one yet.

Upon accessing the management interface, you’ll be presented with three options: Conditional Search, Squad ID Search, and Create New. To initiate a new squad, simply select Create New, and you’ll be able to personalize it according to your preferences.

While setting up your squad, you can specify preferences such as Hunter Ranks and platforms to tailor applications from potential squad members. If you prefer a more open approach, there’s also the option to auto-invite players who express interest in joining.

In addition to configuring recruitment settings, you’ll also get to design or select a unique emblem for your squad. Once you’ve finalized these details, the last step is naming your new squad.

Being part of a squad transforms the gaming experience in Monster Hunter Wilds, creating a dynamic community. You can invite friends, family, or even new acquaintances you enjoyed teaming up with through the matchmaking system.

To join a squad, navigate through the same manage squads window at Felicita. You can utilize Conditional Search to sift through available squads based on criteria like Hunter Ranks, location, and overall group dynamics. This makes it easier to find a squad that fits your playstyle.

If you have a specific squad in mind, you can use the Squad ID Search. Every squad has a unique ID, which the leader can share with others to facilitate invites, especially for friends or members of Discord communities.

Notably, players are allowed to join up to eight squads at one time, offering a wide array of communities to engage with. If you find that eight squads are too many, you can easily leave any squad by navigating to the squad menu and selecting Leave. Squad leaders have the additional option of choosing Disband if they wish to dissolve their squad entirely.

While squads are not simply equivalent to link parties or temporary group gatherings, they serve a more profound purpose. Squads facilitate the formation of larger, persistent groups of players who can communicate through lobbies and messages that remain accessible, even after logouts.

This structure also enhances connectivity among players within the squad. It simplifies the process of inviting others into Link Parties or Environmental Parties, making group hunts or quest completions more accessible. By concentrating on collaboration, squads allow players to efficiently tackle challenges while enjoying the company of like-minded individuals.
