PLAVE’s Unique Formation Story Revealed
In a recent appearance on Park Myungsoo’s radio show, the members of PLAVE unveiled the intriguing backstory of their group’s formation, showcasing an atypical recruitment method that defied standard industry practices. Unlike the conventional casting calls that one might expect, the members primarily recruited within their circle, with some going to the lengths of pleading with friends to join the group.

Spontaneous Invitations and Enthusiastic Auditions
The vivid recollections shared by the members highlight how personal connections played a crucial role in their formation. For instance, Eunho reminisced about a casual moment involving grilled lamb skewers: “I was eating when Yejun approached me with an intriguing proposition to become a virtual idol. I immediately agreed and extended the invitation to Bamby.”
Bamby’s narrative similarly reflects the spontaneous spirit of their formation. He recounted, “Eunho called me for assistance, and upon arriving at VLAST, I was asked to sing and dance in front of the CEO. I was thrilled when they offered me a place in the group, and I enthusiastically accepted.”
A Dramatic Recruitment
Noah’s involvement mirrored the excitement, stating, “I was in my studio when Yejun called and, along with Eunho, proposed the idea. I thought it was fantastic and decided to join without hesitation.” However, Hamin’s entry into PLAVE was marked by a dramatic twist: “Noah actually kneeled and begged me to join after witnessing my dance performance.”
Connection Over Convention
This candid glimpse into the genesis of PLAVE illustrates that their formation was defined by spontaneity and strong interpersonal connections rather than a structured auditioning process. Such a unique approach not only adds charm to their backstory but also reflects the genuine enthusiasm shared by the members and their commitment to building a group founded on friendship and mutual support.
