When Stalker 2 launched, it faced its fair share of challenges, and players have voiced several concerns. Fortunately, GSC Game World has acknowledged these issues and is eager to implement improvements. One significant enhancement many players are requesting focuses on the game’s inventory management system.
On November 23, the developers announced that an emergency patch would be deployed in the upcoming week. This update is expected to address various bugs within the A-Life system, resolve crashing issues, improve gameplay progression, and make critical adjustments to enemy balance, which has been a source of frustration for many players.
Players Urgently Request Inventory Quality of Life Changes
As users dig into their inventory, specifically within their stashes, they encounter a frustrating design flaw. The loot display on the left side of the stash is incompletely visible, creating a cumbersome browsing experience. In contrast, the inventory and equipment sections take up significantly more space on the screen.
This setup leads to an awkward scrolling mechanism that complicates inventory management. Players have expressed concerns about the inventory stacking system, where each item occupies different box sizes. Consequently, this makes it nearly impossible to review all available items efficiently—resulting in tedious comparisons of ammunition, armor, and food supplies.
The player community has taken to social media platforms to express a palpable desire for enhanced visibility within their stashes. One recurring statement highlights players’ frustrations with the current layout: “I want to see more of my stash.”
Additionally, several users have suggested a broader overhaul, demanding “Quality of Life improvements” for the inventory system. Complaints have arisen regarding the auto-sorting feature that occurs every time players interact with their stash or sell items, making the process cumbersome.
Some players have proposed radical adjustments, recommending that the entire inventory interface, including the stash, be expanded. Suggestions include extending the layout to cover more screen space, thereby eliminating the unnecessary visibility of consumable hotkeys. As one user noted, “There’s about 40% more space for inventory on the screen!”
While the developers have previously hinted at updates in the forthcoming patch notes, it remains uncertain whether these inventory enhancements will be featured in the imminent update. However, with the loud call for change from the player base, it’s clear that such adjustments could significantly improve the overall gaming experience.
