Players Express Frustration with Dynamax Feature in Pokemon Go

Pokemon Go players are expressing their disappointment with the upcoming Dynamax feature, citing a “ridiculous”stipulation that has significantly dampened their excitement.

After many months of rumors and discussions, Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, has officially announced that Dynamaxing, a feature that was initially introduced in Pokemon Sword & Shield, will now be available in the free-to-play mobile game.

During the Pokemon Go Max Out season event, trainers will have the opportunity to take part in Dynamax Battles and add newly introduced, super-sized Pokemon to their collection.

Despite the excitement surrounding Pokemon Go’s new Dynamax feature, many trainers are already choosing to skip the Max Out season due to a frustrating stipulation, as one player so aptly described it.

Pokemon Go is finally introducing Dynamax Pokemon but there’s a catch

According to the Niantic blog post introducing Dynamax Pokemon, only those “captured in Max Battles”have the ability to Dynamax.

At the time of writing, although there are over 800 Pokemon included in the game, only eleven Dynamax Pokemon have been officially confirmed.

Thus, even though the Dynamax feature is available in Sword & Shield, trainers will not be able to use it on any Pokemon they have already caught or possess in their collection.

Despite being one of the biggest updates in years, this significant restriction has caused a great deal of frustration among the Pokemon Go community.

One Reddit user expressed frustration in a recent thread about Pokemon Go, stating that the season hadn’t even started yet and they had already managed to upset everyone.

“Another individual chimed in, expressing, “Do I stand alone in my lack of interest for this new addition to the game? Am I overlooking something? Is there something to be enthusiastic about? It just seems like a temporary trend.”

Furthermore, the latest addition has received backlash for potentially being nothing more than “mega raids with added complications”rather than a truly innovative idea.

Despite player concerns, Niantic has not yet addressed the new Dynamax feature. We will continue to provide updates if and when they do respond.
