Players of Marvel Rivals have recently voiced their frustrations, and this time, the issue isn’t about facing overpowering characters. Instead, something beyond the typical gameplay complaints is irking the community.
Just like many online multiplayer games, Marvel Rivals can present a range of challenges. Players often encounter less-than-ideal scenarios, including teams comprising solely of Duelists or facing relentless attacks from characters like Iron Fist without a helping hand. Such experiences can detract from the enjoyment of the game.
These frustrating moments not only dampen the gaming spirit but can also lead to reduced focus, causing players to perform poorly as they struggle to maintain their composure. However, the latest source of irritation for players is surprisingly different from the usual complaints about overpowered characters or the absence of a role lock.
The Galacta Dilemma: Players Want a Change
A recent discussion on Reddit revealed a growing desire among players for the inclusion of announcer packs in Marvel Rivals. The main reason? Many players are expressing their displeasure with Galacta’s frequent voice lines, calling for a change.
Although Galacta isn’t part of the character lineup, her voice has been heard consistently since the game’s beta launch, making her the most prominent presence for many players. Unfortunately, this constant exposure has led to a widespread perception of her voice as “annoying”and overwhelming for some users.
One player candidly remarked, “No offense to the voice actor, but Galacta is getting on my nerves. Listening to her reminds me of that irritating announcer from League of Legends.” Another user shared a similar sentiment, stating, “Her voice lines are so frustrating that even the ‘you win’ announcement annoys me; I’d appreciate any alternative.”
Some players expressed a more visceral response, with one saying, “It’s unbearable. Even with the sound low, her voice is grating.” Another player added, “Honestly, her chatter is excessive during games, especially when you’re either winning or losing badly.”
In light of these reactions, some players have suggested potential announcers they would love to hear instead, such as Samuel L. Jackson, the AI Jarvis, iconic journalist J. Jonah Jameson, and even Khonshu, specifically for fans of Moon Knight.
As the community pushes for more variety in voice lines, it remains to be seen whether the developers will consider adding announcer packs to improve the overall player experience.
