On June 4th in the afternoon, an article about fromis_9 was published on the popular Korean forum, theqoo, which caught the attention of many readers.
The article featured a video of fromis_9 member Song Hayoung, who expressed surprise at her group’s upcoming comeback in August.

Song Hayoung specifically mentioned that she was informed about the comeback by fans and expressed that fromis_9 is not ready for it, effectively exposing the lack of professionalism from their agency Pledis, which is a subsidiary of HYBE.
Despite the negative reaction from fans, comments such as “Is the company planning on disbanding them early?” , “What the hell is Pledis doing” , and “It’s better to just end their contracts early at this point” were left under the article.
Despite Pledis’ denials, a number of controversies have arisen in the past regarding their treatment of fromis_9, with one member speaking out about feeling neglected and allegations that the group has not received payment for their 7 years of activities.
Despite pleas from fans, Pledis only made the announcement of fromis_9’s comeback and did not take any further steps, resulting in the angered response from fans. As a result, the fandom has resorted to sending funeral wreaths and protest trucks to the company in order to voice their discontent.
