Pokemon fan reveals horrible truth about animated series villains

The Pokemon series has a reputation for being highly suitable for families, as it is primarily aimed at children and revolves around collecting adorable creatures to join you on exciting journeys. The most intense moment in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet was when a dog showed a fondness for sandwiches.

Despite the typically lighthearted nature of Pokemon stories, there are times when the long-standing series delves into darker themes. This is not to say Porygon or Dark-type Pokemon in general, but rather the portrayal of some of the show’s villainous characters.

Infinite Mewtwo, a devoted Pokemon enthusiast, posted on X showcasing the “Horrible end of villains in anipoke”from the animated Pokemon series. The post included multiple images depicting the gruesome fates of various Pokemon villains.

It is not unusual for Team Rocket to be seen “blasting off again,”but this is usually meant as a joke. However, the members of these Pokemon villains all faced some grim fates, such as exploding, truly perishing, or being pulled into an alternate dimension.

Despite not fitting in with the typical world of Pokemon, the deaths of these characters have been accepted by a number of fans in the comments. One comment even states, “These are the only deaths that make sense in the world of Pokemon.”

“A different individual commented, “The fact that Bonnie killed Lysandre is just unbelievable.”This is in reference to Zygarde appearing to fatally injure the leader of Team Flare, Lysandre, which is possibly the most explicit depiction of death in the entire Pokemon series.”

Despite Hunter J’s attempts to kill Ash, very few people sympathize with her character. As one comment stated, “J received a well-deserved punishment for her actions.”Another individual shared, “I distinctly remember being shocked as a child witnessing the slow and dramatic death of Hunter J.”

During the conversation about Cyrus’s fate, someone remarked, “Cyrus is not deceased, I believe he has ended up in Giratina’s realm.”This still implies a grim outcome, with another person stating, “Being banished to a place that can be likened to purgatory is truly insane for Cyrus.”

It is intriguing to note that the Pokemon franchise remains unafraid to explore darker themes and to depict the deaths of characters, even if they are portrayed as villains.

One commenter stated, “PokeWorld isn’t all about Lillipups, Skitties, and rainbows,”while another rightfully pointed out, “You may have forgotten about the brutal dex entries in Pokemon that some creatures have.”
