Pokémon fans are eagerly awaiting these remakes

Every Pokémon trainer has their favorite generation, and longtime fans are desperate to see a remake of Generation 1 with modern features. Here’s what they offer.

The first generation of Pokémon games will always remain special, whether it’s its classic designs that inspired hundreds of thousands of fans or the anime’s main characters who came from the Kanto region.

The most recent Pokémon Scarlet and Purple games did indeed take fans on an unforgettable journey through Septentria and Blueberry Academy, but they’re far from the best of all time. Every Pokémon trainer has their favorite generation, and some are desperate for a remake of the first.

Kanto Region Pokémon Remakes Are Eagerly Anticipated

This was posted by ‘TheKosmicKollector’ in the Pokémon subreddit, and the community quickly felt the need to express what they would like to see in a possible future remake of the Kanto region.

Let’s Go was fun, but I’d personally love to see a fun, glossy remake of the Gen 1 games with a ton of modern features for the Switch, so I made these mockups! byu/TheKosmicKollector inpokemon

The author also said: “Let’s Go was fun, but I’d personally like to see a fun, shiny remake of the Gen 1 games with a bunch of modern features for the Switch, so I made these mockups!”

One of the players commenting on the author’s mockup said: “That would be awesome, hope Gamefreak hears you!” Other Pokémon fans have started to suggest some changes they would like to see in the remakes, which include changes to the order of gyms, an increase in the difficulty of battles (like the ones we saw in Scarlet and Purple), the freedom of choice of 8 badges among 16 arenas, among others.

But not all fans want a remake of the Gen 1 games, as one suggested: “I would rather have sequels/new games in Kanto. I want to see what Lillie does there.” And another said: “Yeah, maybe beating Stone’s Onix for the 12th time isn’t that fun.”

Other trainers have different but equally cool expectations: “I want to go to Orange/Seveei and get that Crystal Onix that I’ve wanted for 10-20 years.” Another added: “Indeed, exploring the Seveei Archipelago (or Sevii Islands) would be a great idea for a Gen 1 remake.”

There you have it, Pokémon fans want a remake of the Kanto region, and they definitely have some cool ideas to spice it up.
