Pokemon Fans Shocked by the Enormity of Larvesta – and its Menacing Size

Many Pokemon have varying sizes. It has been a well-known fact since the release of Pokemon Red & Blue that not all Pocket Monsters are identical. However, recent titles such as Pokemon Legends Arceus and Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, which allow players to see Pokemon in the overworld, have brought attention to this difference in size.

Some Pokemon, such as the Alpha Pokemon, Totem bosses, and the Titans from Scarlet & Violet, can be extremely large, sometimes even larger than fans had anticipated. Whether you’re on the hunt for these colossal creatures, their size is certainly impressive.

Despite not being as large as a Wailord, it appears that many Pokemon fans were unaware of just how large the cute Larvesta, a Bug-type, can be. A recently released life-size plush has revealed that this seemingly unassuming creature is actually quite sizable.

Meccha Japan, an import retailer, was among the first to showcase the plush toy, priced at ¥54,450 or approximately $350 before import fees. The news was later shared by Joe Merrick, the founder of Serebii, along with some pictures of its size, much to the delight of Pokemon enthusiasts in the comment section.

The life-size Larvesta plush, as revealed in pictures, measures approximately waist height, making it comparable to the size of a large dog. This revelation has astonished numerous Pokemon enthusiasts, with one exclaiming, “Wait, it’s actually that big in real life?”

Upon learning this surprising fact, numerous additional fans expressed their shock, with some commenting, “I never would have guessed that Larvesta was actually that massive,”while others exclaimed, “THAT’S the size of Larvesta?!”

A different comment highlights the frightening aspect of this, stating, “This is precisely why I am grateful that Pokemon do not actually exist. Do you truly believe that you could defeat a bug of that magnitude? I highly doubt it.”

Some fans are divided on whether this enormous plush toy is charming or simply frightening.

Comments have noted that this size may contribute to Volcarona’s fearsome reputation, providing further context for its impressive evolution.

To further enhance the visual representation, retailer Pokeshopper also released additional images of the plush featuring a model holding the Larvesta, providing a clearer understanding of the scale of this oversized Bug Pokemon.
