Pokemon Go Adventure Week: Taken Over Event – Dates, Shadow Cresselia Debut & Raids

Team Go Rocket is once again prepared to dominate the world of Pokemon Go with an upcoming event that will introduce new Shadow Pokemon, Raids that offer a greater challenge, and a host of other exciting features. The Go Rocket lineups will also be updated, so it is important to stay alert and be prepared.

Pokemon Go Taken Over event starts

The Adventure Week: Taken Over event is scheduled to take place from 12 AM on Thursday, August 8, 2024, to 11:59 PM on Monday, August 12, 2024 (local time).

The two ongoing events of Adventure Week 2024, which begins on August 2 and concludes on August 12, will provide plenty of activities for you to enjoy.

Shadow Cresselia & All Debuts in Pokemon Go Taken Over Event

Shadow Cresselia will be making its debut in Pokemon Go, and trainers will need to defeat Team Go Rocket Boss Giovanni in order to obtain it. A Special Research storyline will be released at the beginning of the event, giving players the opportunity to obtain a Super Rocket Radar and battle Giovanni.

On the other hand, the Team Go Rocket Grunts will now have three new Shadow Pokemon available: Shadow Timburr, Shadow Tirtouga, and Shadow Archen. Don’t forget to check their lineups if you want to rescue these highly sought-after species.

During the weekend of Saturday, August 10 to Sunday, August 11, 2024, Shadow Lugia will be featured in 5-Star Shadow Raids, taking the place of Shadow Suicune.

During the Adventure Week: Taken Over event, trainers can earn themed Field Research tasks by spinning PokeStops to acquire some of these items.

Event Bonuses

  • PokeStops and balloons will experience an increase in Team Go Rocket appearances.
  • A Charged TM can be used to assist a Shadow Pokemon in removing the Charged Attack Frustration from its memory.
