In August, those playing Pokemon Go will have the opportunity to catch a Metagross during the upcoming Beldum Community Day Classic event.
On August 7, it was officially confirmed by Niantic that Beldum would be the featured Pokemon for the upcoming Community Day event in Pokemon Go, following their earlier teaser on social media.
Trainers will have the opportunity to catch numerous Beldum during the upcoming event in mid-August. Furthermore, evolving a Beldum will reward them with a Metagross equipped with the incredibly powerful Charged Move, Meteor Mash.
For those interested in the Beldum Community Day Classic, it is important to know the date and bonuses that will be offered. Here is some information for Pokemon Go players to keep in mind.
Beldum Community Day Classic Dates and Times
The Beldum Community Day Classic for Pokemon Go will take place on Sunday, August 18, 2024, between 2 PM and 5 PM in local time.
Throughout the event, Beldum will be encountered more often in the wild.
Metagross’s Featured Attack
During the event or within two hours after, individuals who evolve a Metang will obtain a Metagross with the Charged Attack Meteor Mash.
In both trainer battles, as well as Gym and Raid battles, Meteor Mash maintains a power of 100.
Beldum Community Day Classic Bonuses
During this Community Day Classic, the following bonuses are available for players to take advantage of.
- For the duration of the event, Eggs placed into Incubators will have a 1/4 Hatch Distance.
- During the event, the Lure Modules will remain active for a duration of three hours.
- During the event, incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) will be activated and last for a duration of three hours.
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise, per Niantic
During the Community Day Classic, there will also be PokeStop Showcases featuring Beldum.
Beldum Community Day Classic Field Research
During the Community Day Classic event, there will be a Field Research challenge centered around Beldum. By completing tasks, trainers can receive rewards such as Stardust, Great Balls, and opportunities to encounter Beldum.
Special Research
Trainers have the option to buy a ticket for $1 or its equivalent in their local currency in order to receive an exclusive Special Research quest. This Special Research is not required to be completed by a specific date and does not include a special in-game medal.
Beldum Community Day Bundles
Similar to the Cyndaquil Community Day Classic, Niantic will also provide three exclusive bundles during the event.
The Ultra Community Day Classic Box is exclusively sold on the Pokemon Go web store for $4.99 or the equivalent in local currency. It contains the following items:
- 10 Ultra Balls
- One Elite Charged TM
- One Special Research story ticket
The other two Event Bundles are exclusive PokeCoin Boxes.
The box containing 1,350 PokeCoins.
- 50 Ultra Balls
- Five Super Incubators
- One Elite Charged TM
- Five Lucky Eggs
The 480 PokeCoin Box is unchanged.
- 30 Ultra Balls
- One Incense
- Three Super Incubators
- One Lure Module
