A Bergmite Raid was unexpectedly discovered by a Pokemon Go player in a location that has caused both amusement and offense within the community.
Currently, players can challenge Bergmite in 1-star Raids; however, the location of a specific Raid has caused some surprise amongst players.
The Ice Chunk Pokemon made an unexpected appearance at a Titanic memorial, as was shared by user 1crazyarchitect on the Pokemon Go subreddit.
The sinking of the RMS Titanic is well-known, as it collided with an iceberg. This fact is mirrored in the design of a Pokemon that closely resembles the top of an iceberg, which has been described as “cruel”by the poster.
It comes as no surprise that, given the internet’s dark sense of humor, the majority of commenters on the post found the irony to be quite amusing.
One commenter exclaimed, “Lol, it’s absolutely perfect! What are you talking about?”
Another person remarked, “Let’s be honest, he appears extremely guilty.”
The location of the unfortunate Bergmite Raid is not explicitly stated in the poster, but based on the image, it seems to be the Titanic Memorial in Washington D.C.
This specific statue portrays a man cloaked in fabric, with his arms extended, and serves as a tribute to the numerous men who perished in the disaster in order to save the women and children aboard the ship.
This is not the sole instance of a specific Raid Pokemon appearing in a suitable (or unfortunate) setting. The primary response on the post features a Stakataka Raid occurring at a historic section of the Berlin Wall.

Even outside of raids, there are instances in Pokemon Go that can be uncomfortable or unsettling. Certain PokeStops, such as those located in museums and cemeteries, have a “dark”vibe. Additionally, seemingly innocent PokeStops can become problematic when the game prompts players to scan children at a pool.
