Pokémon Go called to fix annoying feature for future events

Pokémon Go is set to make major changes to the duration of its Team Parties feature in the next event, with hundreds of players calling for a fix.

For many, Pokémon Go’s events are a key point of contention, and the length of the Team Parties feature is no exception, with players constantly arguing over the value and design of the new co-op element.

Now, those same fans are calling for key changes to Team Parties to help users get the most out of its rewards and the event they’re currently focused on.

Pokémon Go needs to change this ‘frustrating’ feature for the next event

Sharing their frustrations on Reddit, one player argued “Niantic needs to extend the Team Party timers for every event. They explained that “it was really frustrating to go raiding today and get the message ‘the group is going to end soon’ and then ask everyone to wait while you regroup.»

During Weather Week and the World of Wonder season, there have been plenty of events, challenges, and raids around Pokémon Go. Combine this with the Team Parties feature and players can get tons of rewards during events.

However, with Team Parties only lasting an hour, many find their rewards cut off during raids or in the middle of an event, forcing them to stop and regroup rather than explore the challenges and task next.

In February, during the Road to Sinnoh event, Niantic extended Team Parties, which led to a lot of praise within the community. Many are now calling for this to return, or even for it to become a permanent addition: “I really liked how they made it 8 hours during the Sinnoh tour, they should honestly just keep it that long.”»

“Or they could just let us extend the party timer ourselves.” No more unfinished tasks that you just couldn’t finish in time,” another player added, highlighting a new way to bring player control and versatility to Pokémon Go.

While no changes to Team Parties have been announced so far, there are still a ton of Pokémon Go Community Days to come, as well as the Jungle Thief event bringing Zarude back into the spotlight.
