Pokemon Go enthusiasts were in a frenzy when a fellow player revealed their impressive collection of rare Pokémon on an old, neglected account.
The author of the thread on Reddit stated that after five years, they logged into their old Pokemon Go account and their boyfriend had a strong reaction to what they found.
To provide further explanation for their comeback to Niantic’s mobile game, they stated, “My boyfriend and I recently started dating, and he is a big fan of Pokemon Go. He became interested and wanted to see the progress on my previous account.”
“My bag caught his attention, and these specific Pokemon were the cause of his amusement, haha.”The Pokemon that caused this reaction? A Shiny Metagross, two Armored Mewtwo, and a few Shinies from previous Community Days.

The feedback on the haul echoed that of the author’s boyfriend. “It’s pretty cool that the Armored Mewtwo were only available in Raids once! You should definitely save them for a Lucky Trade with the two of you,”the top comment advised.
Some people wasted no time in making jokes. One person said, “I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but your boyfriend is probably only with you for the Armored Mewtwo.”Another person suggested that the couple should “consider signing a prenup.”
Despite receiving multiple warnings against giving away too many of their rare catches, the author clarified in a follow-up comment, “I understand the concern, but I personally do not place as much value on these catches as many others here do.”
“If it weren’t for him, this account would likely have been forgotten. So, I would prefer for him to have the ones he wants.”
Despite being available in Raids during its initial release in 2019, Armored Mewtwo has not been obtainable since. It is unclear if Niantic has any plans to re-release this Legendary, so currently the only option for obtaining one is through trading with another Trainer.
