Pokemon Go Developers Finally Address Broken Catches and Ruined Throws

The recent update of Pokemon Go, version 0.317.0, has caused Poke Ball catches and Excellent Throws to become extremely challenging. Thankfully, this issue is now being addressed in a slowly rolling out global update.

Despite the frustration of players, catching Pokemon had become an overwhelming challenge, hindering their ability to gain XP and complete specific Field Research tasks. The severity of the issue led many to believe it was a bug, and the rushed release of version 0.319.0 only amplified these suspicions.

The YouTuber known as ‘The Excellent Pokédex’ released a video titled “Video Proof that Niantic FIXED the Catch Mechanics in Pokemon Go 0.319.0!”which demonstrated that the latest update has reverted the catching issue back to its previous state.

Many trainers expressed their gratitude to the YouTuber for sharing the news and also shared their own experiences with catching Pokemon in the comments section. They mentioned that the change was a source of “relief”for them.

A player remarked, “I’ve noticed an improvement in the feel today. I was beginning to believe I was adapting to the changes,”while others raved about the familiar sensation of catching Pokemon again.

After watching the video, Reddit user ‘b33tsalad’ felt compelled to share the update on The Silph Road subreddit. They were pleased to see that the “broken”catch mechanics had been fixed.

According to user reports, the 0.319.0 version is not yet available worldwide and is being gradually released. iOS devices have not yet received the update at all.

A trainer who was among the first to receive the update stated: “I accessed it two days ago and can confirm that it addresses the throwing mechanics. As soon as I found out about this update, I immediately downloaded the apk.”

Despite the difficulties, numerous individuals have begun to believe that they have become “awful”at catching and are eagerly anticipating the release of the update on their mobile devices.

With the approaching Go Fest 2024 and the return of normal catching mechanics in Pokemon Go, players can anticipate catching all the newly released shiny Pokemon during the highly anticipated event.
