Pokémon Go eggs still disappoint players after 8 years

Hatching eggs in Pokémon Go can be a great way to find interesting new Pokémon, but as one unlucky player recently discovered, it can also lead to disappointing results.

Collecting an egg in Pokémon Go can be a lot of fun. Finding one means you might end up hatching an exciting new creature or even finding a rare variant, like a shiny.

However, eggs in Pokémon Go aren’t always fantastic. Eggs that require greater effort (like 10km and 12km eggs) should, in theory, lead to superb hatches. But, as one unlucky Pokémon Go player on r/pokemongo recently discovered, that’s not always the case.

Pokémon Go Players Discuss “Bad” Egg Results

Originally appearing in this post, Pokémon Go player darthsnick shared his disappointment over a batch of eggs on social media. He hatched 12 batches of 12km eggs and the results were less than desirable, with darthsnick sharing that he was “pretty disappointed” in the caption.

Among all the eggs, Darthsnick revealed that he had obtained 3 Sandfish, 3 Mascaiman, 3 Scalpion, 2 Vostourno and a male Tritox. All things considered, there wasn’t much to get excited about here.

Other Pokémon Go players in the thread were disappointed for darthsnick, with many sharing their own experiences. One called the 12km eggs “disgustingly bad” , before adding that “all eggs suck except maybe for the 10km eggs” and suggesting that Niantic do an overhaul.

Others shared darthsnick’s pain, with one equally unlucky player noting that he “just did a full set of 10k eggs today and they all went in the trash.”

One optimistic player shared his thoughts, saying “I’m doing this for dust. with a star coin, it’s between ~70k-90k” , showing how batches of eggs can still be used for other functions.

Another agreed that he wasn’t a fan of the 12km egg pool, but had had good luck with hundos and shinys over the years.
