In July 2024, Pokemon Go enthusiasts can look forward to an exhilarating month filled with a greater number of 5-Star Raids and Megas than ever before. The most exciting aspect is that many of these raids can be completed solo, allowing players to quickly capture numerous shiny Pokemon.
The soloable Raids offered include popular Pokemon like Guzzlord, Pheromosa, Kartana, Buzzwole, and the iconic Mega Swampert. Each of these species have dual weaknesses and a low shiny chance of 1/64.
Although Guzzlord and Pheromosa have low Defense stats and are easy to defeat, some opponents may require a strategic approach to defeat.
According to Reddit user ‘rwaterbender’, the July 2024 Raids can be completed solo without much effort, while certain ones may require in-game weather boosts to make them more manageable to defeat.

A player expressed their excitement about the abundance of soloable Raid Bosses, particularly Swampert (finally!), which is known for being an easy and useful option. With strong Grass-type counters like Kartana and Mega Sceptile in Sunny weather, defeating this Raid Boss is a piece of cake.
During the Go Fest 2024 celebrations, the community can expect to encounter both Mega Swampert and the easily soloable Ultra Beasts (UBs) in raids, adding even more excitement to the event.
Furthermore, the trainer emphasized that making Beast Balls available for capturing UBs during Raids would greatly simplify the battle. It is important to note that unlike the typical Premier Balls, Beast Balls have a significantly higher capture rate, allowing players to swiftly defeat these powerful Bosses.
Buzzwole and Kartana are unique among Ultra Beasts in that they possess decent bulk. Therefore, it is most effective to battle them individually during Windy and Sunny weather, as their main vulnerabilities to Flying and Fire types are amplified during these conditions.
Don’t forget that Mega Swampert, Pheromosa, Buzzwole, and Kartana are all high-level Raid attackers, and Guzzlord is a formidable opponent in the Go Battle League, especially in the Great League.
