A recurring bug in Pokémon Go causes Colossingo to appear as if it will evolve into a form that is much cuter than its true evolution.
Pokémon Go has its fair share of bugs, but it’s nowhere near as famous for them as the main games in the series. This is because many of Pokémon’s iconic bugs occurred in an era before updates, while Pokémon Go’s can be quickly fixed with an update.
In the case of Pokémon Go, most of its bugs affect the visuals, with interference in the user interface and character sprites, or the display of incorrect data. There are rare cases of attack bugs in Pokémon Go, but they are the exception.
Pokémon Go recently introduced Cowardly Monkey to the game, along with an unusual evolution requirement for Colossus that involves its use as a Buddy. This also created a bug regarding Colossing’s evolutionary lineage in Pokémon Go.

A user on the Reddit page PokemonGoMystic shared an example of the Colossinge evolution image bug. In this case, Colossinge undergoes a major change, as he seems to evolve into the cute and cuddly Grodoudou.

“Colossal monkey after anger management classes,”one user joked, while another said: “He went from ‘he looks like he could kill you, he would kill you’ to ‘he looks like a little cinnamon bread, it would kill you.”
The problem isn’t just with the Colossing sprite. “Currently Courrousinge broke my game a bit, I didn’t see it when it evolved, it was just a shiny spot,” one user wrote, “I can’t see it anywhere and it bugged my Boyfriend, I can’t change him, he’s stuck there…”
It’s unclear why these issues are affecting Courrousinge so severely, but they affect various aspects of the game. The strange evolution method could be involved, or perhaps it has something to do with the fact that ‘such an old Pokémon is given a new evolution.
Either way, Niantic needs to do something soon, as Brambling is a popular Pokémon for competitive battles in Pokémon Go. Many people want to unleash the Fighting/Ghost-type Pokémon, so it will need to fix its bugs, even those which make it cuter.
