Pokemon Go Max Out Continues to Struggle with Persistent Issue

Pokemon Go’s latest season, Max Out, has already been released in certain regions, and players who were eagerly anticipating the successor to Shared Skies were disappointed to discover some unwelcome news during their exploration.

The main highlight of Max Out is the highly anticipated introduction of Dynamax, a feature taken from previous titles in the main series, Sword & Shield. In addition, more Galar region Pokemon such as Scorbunny, Sobble, and Grookey will also be making their debut.

Despite the abundance of fresh content, numerous individuals expressed disappointment over the persistent occurrence of wild spawns from Kanto.

According to a Reddit thread discussing the seasonal changes, there have been no noticeable changes in Kanto spawns except for starters. The thread also mentioned that common Pokemon such as bugs, Eevee, Oddish, Machop, and Poliwhirl are still appearing as usual.

In other places, people have also expressed their annoyance with the continual appearance of Gen 1 Pokemon. In a post that has since been deleted, a user stated, “Almost half of the spawns are filled with the same few ‘Rediscover Kanto’ Pokemon. This game is frustrating.”

Rediscover Kanto was an event that took place in April to honor the original 151 Pokémon, with increased spawns of these original creatures. Although the event-specific bonuses ended on May 9, they have now been incorporated into Niantic’s updated Biomes.

“One person expressed their frustration with Kanto, suggesting that Biome spawns should be rotated. Another person chimed in, disappointed that common Pokémon from the first generation like Machop, Oddish, Mankey, and Spearow still dominate the spawns despite the availability of nine generations of Pokémon. They wished for a decrease in Kanto spawns.”

The primary concern, as expressed by a player, was that Biomes were not rotating frequently enough. They noted that the Biome pool seemed to consist mostly of Kanto for several seasons, with a heavy percentage of “and more!”features.

It is possible for Niantic to modify the spawn ratios of wild creatures during the Max Out event in order to add more variety, as is typical with all title updates. Max Out is set to begin on September 3 at 10 AM in your local time.
