Pokemon Go Mega Rayquaza event returns and fans are “legitimately shocked”

Pokemon Go players have consistently voiced their disappointment with lackluster in-game events or tickets that they consider to be of little value.

Despite the initial hype surrounding the Mega Rayquaza Raid event in Pokemon Go, it was met with criticism from the player base. Casual players expressed frustration over the Elite Raid requirement, which made them feel excluded from participating. Additionally, widespread errors during the event ruined the experience for those who did take part.

An event was promised as compensation for the errors, and it has been received positively by the community thus far. The community discussion revealed an infographic with all the event details, which caused players to be extremely excited about the offerings.

On August 3rd, players can participate in the Mega Rayquaza Special Raid Event, where the Legendary creature will hatch from Raid Eggs during Raid Hours at 11 am, 1 pm, and 6 pm. What sparked the interest of players was the chance to participate in Remote Raids for the beloved dragon.

One enthusiastic player exclaimed, “Oh my gosh… my day is saved! I have to be somewhere until 4 pm, but I can still participate remotely all day!”They then playfully mentioned needing a new phone battery in order to join the event remotely.

Some individuals also commended Niantic for their choice to incorporate Remote Raiding into the event. One person remarked, “They easily could have simply made it an Elite raid and left it at that. However, the fact that they are treating it like a regular raid day/hour event is a major victory.”

Despite occasional controversial event decisions, Niantic was still the target of playful jokes from some players. One player even wondered, “Has Niantic recently changed leadership?”

Despite the disappointment surrounding the absence of Elite Raids, players were pleasantly surprised to discover that the Timed Research would still offer a valuable Meteorite as a reward. One player perfectly captured the excitement by stating, “Niantic definitely delivered with this one.”

This year has a lot in store for Pokemon Go players, with numerous thrilling events on the horizon. PvE enthusiasts who enjoy challenging powerful Pokemon will especially have much to look forward to.
