One lucky Pokémon Go player beat the incredibly rare odds, capturing a rare Flamiaou “shnundo” during Community Day on March 16.
Pokémon Go Community Days events are popular with fans of the game and there are many reasons to enjoy them. Players love the opportunity to see so many trainers in their community and of course, they love the boosted capture rate provided for the duration of the event.
Community Days are the perfect time for players to capture shiny rares, Pokémon with perfect stats, and other types of less common rare Pokémon too.
An incredibly rare shiny captured by a Pokémon Go player
So one player got extremely lucky during the recent Flamiaou Community Day, capturing one of the rarest versions of the Pokémon they could have caught — a “shnundo” or Shiny Nundo.
The player posted his capture on Reddit, initially disappointed by the zero stats of his Flamiaou shiny. However, others were quick to let him know how lucky his capture truly was.
“You have the very elusive shnundo,” pointed out one commenter. Another agreed, “It’s rarer than a shundo. Congratulations! “
Shnundos are shiny Pokémon with perfect zero stats and are an extremely rare catch, even during community event days.
“Very, very, very rare collectible,” one player informed the OP (original poster). While another said they were “legitimately jealous,” noting that “perfect zeros” were “a great Pokémon to collect.”
Flamiaou and its shiny version were at the center of Pokémon Go’s Community Day event in March. The OP made a follow-up post, saying he was happy to hear about this turnaround, although he revealed he still intended to keep his Flamiaou anyway.
Players looking to capture their own shnundo can try their luck during upcoming Community Days events on April 7 and 20.
