Pokémon Go has announced that Primo-Kyogre will return during the World of Wonders season, and trainers are already seriously preparing.
Pokémon Go has revealed the World of Wonders season, which will be the 14th season for the mobile game as a whole.
In addition to the return of Mega Raids, the World of Wonder will also see the return of Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre after the duo debuted in February 2023.
Now, fans on social media are already seriously gearing up for Primal Kyogre, with some fans swearing that it’s the hardest raid boss currently in Pokémon Go.
Pokémon Go Players Prepare for Challenging Primal Kyogre Raids
A post on the PokemonGoFriends subreddit sparked discussion among fans after a user named Analogue23 made a PSA post titled, “PSA Start preparing for Primo-Kyogre now.”

In the thread, the trainer noted that Primo-Kyogre would return on March 17, 2024, and called it, “probably the hardest raid boss in the game.”
“You’ll likely have your Pokémon eliminated multiple times per raid, so now is a good time to stock up on brewing potions and boosters so you don’t run out,” they continued. “I would also really like to encourage everyone to seek out some of the best counters and build the best team possible within your means.”
While some fans may think this level of preparation is unwarranted, Primal Kyogre’s raids are no joke. When it debuted last year, players were up in arms after others continually abandoned these raids, in part due to their difficulty.
Others in the comments offered their own tips for preparing ahead. “Mega-Jungko earlier this month. Stock up, it’s a great counter.”
Mega Jungko returns as a featured Mega Raid from March 1, 2024 until March 14, 2024, so it would serve as an ideal counter Pokémon for the Primal Water type.
Trainers have until March 17, 2024 to make their preparations, so let’s hope those looking to take on this Primal beast can make the most of their time.
