Just as Pokemon Go players believed the ‘avatargate’ issue had been resolved, they were met with more alterations to their characters. Numerous players have reported that their avatar’s skin tone completely transformed following the latest update.

Despite the backlash from the community, Niantic’s decision to alter the Pokemon Go avatars sparked controversy, with many criticizing the new designs as a noticeable decline and demanding the return of the original look.

Nevertheless, the attention has shifted towards a surprising and unforeseen modification as numerous Pokemon Go enthusiasts noticed a change in their characters’ skin and hair color following the latest update.

One user on the Pokemon Go Reddit shared, “Today, when I opened the app, I noticed that my avatar’s skin was much darker than before.”They further explained that they were not the only one experiencing this issue, stating, “I checked my friends list and noticed that everyone else’s avatar had also become darker. Is this a bug affecting everyone or just my game?”

The issue is impacting numerous players, as more and more people are sharing their posts about the unusual alterations.

Another player shared their confusion, stating that their character in Pokemon Go suddenly changed from caucasian to African-American after a recent app update. They questioned the reason behind this mass change.
