Pokemon Go players call for Niantic to do better with Triumph Together

The team-based Triumph Together event for Pokemon Go began on August 23, however, the community has expressed their disappointment with the associated Premium Timed Research Ticket.

Triumph Together has assigned Trainers with specific tasks to be completed within a span of seven days in order to receive rewards. This segment of the time-sensitive event is free and promises guaranteed XL Candy, double XP, and Stardust for spinning PokeStops and hatching Eggs, provided that each milestone is successfully achieved.

The event costs $4.99 and the paid portion includes:

  • Two Premium Battle Passes
  • One Rocket Radar
  • One Super Incubator
  • One Lure Module
  • Encounters with Team Leader–themed costumed Pokémon—and more

Despite this, the reception to the bundle has been unfavorable, as players on Reddit are urging Niantic to “improve.”

“One unhappy fan wrote, “This is the lowest-quality ticket I have ever come across. They even reduced the quality from the previous ticket they released.”

Similarly, the replies showed a lack of enthusiasm, with many expressing their disappointment towards event Pokemon being restricted to Research, Raids, or Eggs instead of appearing in the wild.

“A response expressed disappointment in the lack of special wild spawns during the past season’s events. It was noted that half of the events had all the special spawns available only through Field Research, leading to a sense of decline in the overall experience.”

“Another person mentioned that the free research spawns from April-May 2023 are being reused for a $5 ticket, in reference to Pokemon Go’s Rising Heroes event with a similar theme.”

The final major event for Pokemon Go’s Shared Skies, Triumph Together, will conclude on Friday, August 30. The upcoming September season is anticipated to revolve around Gen 8’s Dynamax and Gigantamax features.

In the meantime, there are still many tasks to complete within the game. Raids featuring Xerneas and Mega Salamence will continue until September 3, offering a chance to encounter their Shiny forms upon successful completion. Be sure to refer to the complete August schedule for more information.
