Pokemon Go players can finally get rare Dusk Lycanroc easily after Egg update

Acquiring Dusk Lycanroc in Pokemon Go can be extremely challenging, as it requires players to hatch a specific Rockruff that evolves into this rare species. However, a recent update to Eggs has made it more convenient to add this creature to your collection.

Before the 0.319.0 version, it was impossible to determine if the Rockruff found in the Adventure Sync Egg pool would be able to evolve into Dusk Lycanroc. However, with the latest update, an icon has been introduced next to the Pokemon that signifies its coveted evolution.

The discovery was made by a Reddit user known as ‘kapilsnow’, who shared their findings in a post on The Silph Road subreddit.

The OP’s shared screenshot displayed two distinct Rockruff options, each with its own rarity, and the one capable of evolving into Dusk Lycanroc was distinguished by a ‘dusk’ icon.

It should be noted that Rockruff typically evolves into either its Midday or Midnight Form, depending on whether it is evolved during the daytime or nighttime. The rarer hatch option includes an ‘Evolve’ button featuring the silhouette of the Dusk Form, which can be obtained at any time.

A fan expressed their satisfaction with the addition of this feature at a convenient time to prevent players from wasting passes and incubators, especially with the highly anticipated Go Fest 2024 approaching.

Despite the confusion among trainers, Dusk Form Lycanroc’s rarity in the mobile game remained a mystery. However, one player pointed out that this is also a common occurrence in mainline Pokemon games such as Scarlet and Violet.

It is important to note that Rockruff can only be obtained from 10km Eggs earned through completing 50km via Adventure Sync. It cannot be found in the regular 10km Eggs obtained by spinning PokeStops or Gyms.
