Pokemon Go players can unlock Community Day move even after event ends

Despite the abundance of shiny Pokemon and 100 IV Bagon available during the April Community Day Classic event, many players were so caught up in the excitement that they neglected to complete the most crucial task: evolving their catches.

Despite grinding the event until 5 PM local time and obtaining five shiny Bagon, players like Reddit user ‘Jacenvane’ missed out on evolving it to Salamence and acquiring Outrage. This move is highly sought after as it makes Bagon a top-tier Dragon-type attacker. Jacenvane shared their experience on Reddit, stating that they were unable to evolve any of their Bagon before 5 PM due to the species no longer spawning.

Despite being unaware, the OP and other trainers in the same situation were pleasantly surprised when users brought to their attention a Community Day perk. They were informed that they had until 2 hours after the event concluded to obtain the evolution moves, meaning they had until 7 PM to acquire Outrage.

In response, another person agreed, stating that one of the most positive changes since 2016 is the introduction of a 2-hour grace period after 5 PM, allowing for evolving and still receiving the special move.

The players expressed their gratitude towards the users who shared the tip on how to obtain the special move during the evolution, even after Community Day had ended at 5 PM.

However, there was more to be gained as a couple of trainers pointed out an important detail for players like the OP who may have missed Outrage Salamence. According to them, there will be another opportunity to obtain it during the December CD recap. During this event, all moves from the past two years will be made available for a period of two days, as one trainer explained.

In the 2024 Community Day Classic, Salamence will be featured, allowing you to hold on to your shiny or high IV Bagon and Shelgon for December of this year. This will give you the opportunity to obtain Outrage on the powerful Pseudo Legendary Dragon-type in Pokemon Go without having to use an Elite Charged TM.
