Pokémon Go players complain about catch rates in Raids

Pokémon Go players are criticizing the “ridiculous” capture rates of Latias’ Legendary Raids after seeing the latter escape numerous times.

Whether you’re looking to capture them all or build a powerful team for your Battles in Pokémon Go, Raids are essential. After all, they are one of the key elements of the game and seem just as important as Team GO Rocket fights, Field Survey missions, and Routes.

However, many fans are finding Raids increasingly difficult, with some catch rates becoming extremely high. In fact, thanks to these higher capture rates and therefore regular failures, fans are asking, “Why even try to do a Raid?”

Pokémon Go players are fed up with Raid catch rates

Sharing their frustration on Reddit, a Pokémon Go player posted his game log, which highlighted three lost Latias in the space of 20 minutes.

Naturally, this means the player won three separate 6-star Raids and then watched their Latias run away each time, so the frustration is entirely justified.

In addition to offering their condolences, many fans took to the comments to echo the poster’s irritation.

“This was my experience when the Raid first started,” one user explained, going on to say that “the effort/reward ratio was so bad that I pretty much quit the game right then and there.”

Others found the catch rates extremely frustrating: “Yeah, for a T6 it’s pretty ridiculous to have these catch rates. It takes so much effort to get enough people together only for it to be worse than a coin toss if you get it!? Ridiculous”

Catch rates are intentionally difficult, making harder Raids even more rewarding – but there’s a limit to how difficult they should be, especially after gathering enough players for a T6 Raid, and then beating the Pokémon in first place.

Although the poster was quite unlucky, one commenter revealed the bad luck he experienced, highlighting how he has “now seen 7 Latios running away, dammit.”
