Pokémon Go players frustrated by Morpheo’s ‘horrible’ forms

The Weather Week event is already generating mixed opinions among Pokémon Go players. A fan recently expressed concerns about Morpheo’s spawn rates on social media.

The Weather Week event is currently happening in Pokémon Go, from March 14 to March 18. It centers around the seasonal Pokémon Morpheo and all the different forms this cute little Pokémon can take.

This event has proven to be somewhat divisive for players, and a fan took to r/pokemongo on Reddit recently to air their grievances regarding the way Morpheo is encountered during Weather Week.

Morpheo will likely play a big role in Weather Week.

Pokémon Go players divided over Weather Week event

A Pokémon Go player posted to the Pokémon Go Subreddit, sharing his thoughts on the ongoing Weather Week event. They noted that the event is “great for Stardust but horrible if you’re trying to get specific Morpheos.”

They shared how they made peace with the fact that they would never see a Snow Morpheo, and suggested that a feature could be added to the game where Pokémon attacks could impact the weather in the game, making it easier for people to meet all types of Morpheo.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Pokémon, Morpheo is a weather-dependent Pokémon that only appears when the real-world weather precisely matches. For example, a Rainy Morpheo will only appear when it’s actually raining. This can make it quite difficult if your location doesn’t have many different weather types.

Other players shared the original poster’s pain, with one person noting that, “3 feet of snow here in CO in the last 24 hours. All I see is snow.” Another shared their completely opposite experience, saying, “I’m in Hawaii. Here it’s just different degrees of summer lol” .

Some of the players in the replies encouraged the original poster to use Field Research missions when they could, with one person reminding him that, “You can get all shapes as rewards from Field Research missions.”

Weather-dependent tasks in Pokémon Go are always tricky since each location will experience something different at the same time. It’s clear from this post that some players are hoping for changes to the weather system in Pokémon Go in the future.
