Upon his exploration, a Pokemon Go trainer was taken aback to stumble upon a Team Rocket hideout in the physical realm, complete with a formidable Grunt awaiting a battle.
A Pokemon Go player brought joy to fellow fans by discovering Team Rocket in an easily noticeable location.
The player posted a picture on Reddit of themselves in Taipei, encountering a Team Rocket grunt at a Poke Stop located in a building with a noticeable red “R”symbol resembling the evil team’s logo. The player commented, “you’d think they’d be more subtle.”
Naturally, fans were quick to note that Team Rocket has always been associated with a lack of subtlety. As a commenter pointed out, “Subtlety? Not their style. It’s double or nothing,”which led others to recall the iconic motto of Jessie, James, and Meowth from the anime.
Another individual commented, reminding the poster that the group in question is known for utilizing hot air balloons as a mode of transportation, which is not exactly inconspicuous.
It is clear that the Team Rocket featured in the anime and Team Go Rocket from the mobile game are not identical. The former, specifically the trio mentioned earlier, is much more flashy compared to other versions, often seen traveling in absurd Pokemon-shaped vehicles and providing comedic relief in the show.
Despite the obviousness of Team Rocket Poke Stop takeovers, it can be assumed that Giovanni and his cohorts are not overly concerned about hiding their criminal activities.
