Players of Pokemon Go are expressing worry over a longstanding problem in the game and are calling for a resolution.
Despite its popularity, the Friend feature in Pokemon Go is causing players to become increasingly concerned. This is due to a growing trend where trainers who reach Best Friends status are not receiving any XP bonuses as a reward.
Trainers are urgently requesting for this feature to be “changed as soon as possible,”or else it should be completely removed, as it is causing more inconvenience than benefits for them. Considering the many Quality of Life improvements in the current World of Wonders season, it is logical for the developers to address this issue.
According to ‘Federal-Captain1118’ in their post on Reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemongo/comments/1by6cyp/so_i_seriously_get_no_xp/), there has been a noticeable increase in the trend of trainers reaching Best Friends status and then removing the friend, resulting in a bug that prevents them from receiving the XP bonus.
As stated by another player, the current state of the game is a major issue. It’s understandable to be taken aback, considering that Pokemon Go currently has no limit on the number of friends one can have.
“One player expressed their frustration at the fact that people are being deleted immediately for no reason. They pointed out that having hundreds of friends is possible, so why not take advantage of Lucky Trades? Another player echoed this sentiment, stating that they couldn’t understand why someone wouldn’t want to utilize Lucky Trades.”
Despite being referred to as the “0 Exp bug”by some trainers, this issue has persisted for many years. Evidence of its existence can be found in numerous posts across various Reddit groups, such as TheSilphRoad and Pokemon Go, dating back to 6 years ago.
