Raid Battles on Pokémon Go

Raid Battles occur when a Boss Pokémon takes control of a Gym. Raid Battle Bosses are extremely powerful. It is therefore really recommended to team up with other trainers in order to achieve victory. There are four levels: 1 star, 3 stars, 5 stars and Mega Raids. The higher the level, the more difficult the fight will be and you will need help.

New types of Raids with unique characteristics occasionally spice up the Pokémon Go experience. Elite Raids are rare, but promise epic battles against exceptional Pokémon. Dark Raids allow you to face formidable Dark Pokémon in Gyms that Team Go Rocket has taken control of.

Raid battles offer significant advantages. Not only can you obtain unique items, but you also have the opportunity to capture the Pokémon you are battling. For 5-star level Raids, you will even have the chance to capture legendary Pokémon exclusive to these battles, unavailable by other means.
