Pokemon Go: Trainer Stuns Community with Incredibly Rare Shiny Nundo

One trainer playing Pokemon Go was able to catch a highly elusive Shiny nundo during the Better Together event.

Trainers can discover a plethora of rare Pokemon in Pokemon Go, such as Larvesta, Unown, and numerous Legendaries that only appear during specific events.

Nevertheless, there exist certain Pokemon that are considered rare due to their distinct mechanics. A perfect example of such a Pokemon is Vespiquen.

Fans who have experienced the mainline games are aware that only female Combee have the ability to evolve into Vespiquen. This automatically makes Vespiquen more uncommon than other Pokemon, as the chances of encountering a female Combee are only 12.5%.

Despite the odds, one trainer was able to obtain an even more uncommon variation of Vespiquen, perhaps by sheer luck or perhaps not.

The Reddit user Autechbunny_, known by their username, shared on the Pokemon Go subreddit and remarked, “What a pleasant midnight surprise.”

The surprise in question was a Shiny nundo Vespiquen. To provide context, a ‘nundo’ refers to a Pokemon with no IVs in Attack, Defense, or HP.

Despite the preference among most trainers to catch a hundo – a Pokemon with perfect IVs in every stat – this trainer appeared just as delighted with their equally uncommon catch.

According to the OP, they woke up and decided to open the app, and were delighted that they did because it led to their first shiny nundo.

The fortunate trainer managed to capture this nundo due to the Ultra Unlock: Better Together event. Although Tandemaus and Maushold are the main attractions, there are also rare Pokemon that have a higher chance of appearing.

During the event, trainers will have increased chances of encountering Combee in the wild and completing Field Research and Timed Research tasks.

With some luck, a few lucky trainers might even have the chance to catch an exceptionally rare Vespiquen. However, it would be even better if it turns out to be a perfect IV instead of a low IV.
