Pokémon Go players are sharing the rare but “useless” pocket monsters they collected for their Pokédex.
Over the years, Niantic’s mobile adventure has become home to many rare Pokémon ranging from Gen 1 to Gen 9. Some have proven much easier to capture than others.
And, admittedly, some of these creatures may not be worth your time in the end, either because of below-average defense and attack scores or for other reasons.
However, not all Pokémon Go players have the heart to give up their Pokémon, even if they have no real value. Such a discussion is currently making the rounds on the Pokémon Go subreddit.
Pokémon Go fans share their rare but “useless” Pokémon
A Pokémon Go player recently asked the game’s Reddit community the following question: “What is your most useless, but incredibly rare Pokémon?”

They brought their own response to the conversation, pointing to a Shedinja they’ve had for some time. “It’s a cool new thing, but that’s all it is. It’s also my only Shundo,” the Redditor explained.
As expected, several Pokémon Go players participated with the rare but useless creatures in their possession. One person mentioned their “Nundo lvl1 pikachu costume” . Another user said their hundo diggersby is in a similar rank.
Delibird also received some love in the comments, with one fan writing: “Probably my perfect Cadoizo, absolutely useless but still neat.”
Another Redditor argued that their choice probably trumps everyone else’s. “I think I beat everyone here. I have a male Apitrini hundo. I can’t even evolve it,” they said of the flying insectoid.
At least it’s good to know that these otherwise useless Pokémon are appreciated.
