Pokemon Go Triumph Together challenges have players predicting massive Niantic fail

Pokemon Go players have expressed their disappointment with the ongoing Triumph Together event, as a significant portion of the event was dedicated to battling Team Rocket Grunts for the initial Global Challenge.

Triumph Together sets itself apart from typical Pokemon Go events by presenting a set of challenges to the entire community, drawing inspiration from the three teams players have the option to join: Valor, Instinct, and Mystic. As each challenge is successfully completed by players as a group, the subsequent challenge will be unlocked and additional bonuses will be available for the duration of the event.

Currently, players have successfully finished the initial Global Challenge of defeating 75,000,000 Team Go Rocket members, with four and a half days remaining.

Despite the frustration and concern of trainers, due to the repetitive task and the time it has taken to get to this point, there are worries that the community may not be able to finish the challenges before the event concludes on August 30.

The conversation surrounding the event was initiated by a Reddit user who shared a meme summarizing their involvement in the Team Valor challenge.

This prompted others to question the amount of time left for the Instinct and Mystic challenges, which require completing 20,000,000 egg hatches and 35,000,000 Field Research tasks, respectively.

“One player joked that they would have 30 minutes to evolve Pokemon for XL candies, referencing the promised bonus of two guaranteed Candy XL for completing the final Team Mystic Global Challenge.”

The OP responded by stating, “I truly don’t believe we will be able to finish everything. The eggs will definitely take much longer.”

The commencement of the Instinct portion of the event has resulted in a halving of the hatch distance for Eggs, making the Global Challenge slightly more manageable. However, players are still required to physically move around and regularly open the game in order to place fresh Eggs in Incubators.

As a result, a majority of players will only have the ability to hatch a single Egg simultaneously, which restricts their potential contribution to the challenge.

Despite completing all of Triumph Together’s challenges, players are worried that there won’t be enough time to fully utilize the rewards if the community is successful.

It could potentially cause problems for developer Niantic. According to one commenter, the only solution for the Pokemon Go community to successfully complete the event may be if Niantic artificially inflates the numbers, which could be seen as a source of embarrassment.
