Niantic is gradually implementing a few cosmetic makeovers in Pokémon Go, and a few lucky fans have spotted a new addition that provides a much-needed refresh to the beaches.
It looks like more changes are on the way for Pokémon Go, as Niantic is rolling out a new update, and this one brings some fun changes to the beach biome.
As shared by Pokémon Go player u/DrexiteUK in a Reddit post, they commented saying, “New capture background for the beach biome – Version 0.305.1”

Many Pokémon fans seem happy with the new changes, with one commenting, “Oh, this is beautiful.” Another added, “Looks so good!”

This appears to be part of a series of refreshing new changes to the game and one Reddit user agrees, saying, “I really like these new QOL updates.”Meanwhile, another person adds, “I like it! The new avatars on the other hand…” This refers to the controversial changes made to avatars recently.
Hopefully more changes are still to come, as one person asked for another change, saying, “That’s cool, I hope they update the background of the urban biome to be at the middle of town not outside of town on a field of grass with the town visible only in the distance.”
With nearly eight years of Pokémon Go in the wild, we’re sure to see Niantic shake up the formula with even more changes in the future. Hopefully, more improvements will find their way to the mobile title in time for Pokémon Go Fest 2024.
