Pokemon Go World Championship Finally Brings Costumed Pikachu Worth Catching

A newly designed Pikachu in costume has been revealed for the Pokemon Go World Championships 2024 event, and unlike previous versions, fans are eagerly anticipating the chance to catch it.

Despite the mixed opinions within the community, costumed Pokemon remain a popular topic. Pikachu, in particular, is often seen sporting a new hat at various events, but many trainers choose not to keep it as part of their collection.

Despite being a Pikachu, the World Championships version is equipped with diving equipment, including goggles, a snorkel, and flippers, to represent the location of the yearly competition – Honolulu, Hawaii. When ‘raggedy10’, a user on Reddit, shared this exciting update, it received a positive reaction from other players.

Numerous individuals deemed it the top costumed Pokemon in the game and eagerly anticipated adding it to their assortment. Similarly, some concurred that it was the most adorable version of Pikachu among all others.

In addition to being obtainable only through Field Research tasks and 1-Star Raids during events, World Championships 2024 Pikachu is also able to be caught as a shiny. This adds an extra level of motivation for players to work hard and catch this rare Electric-type creature.

A fan responded, stating, “I must have both the lucky and shiny versions of that Pikachu and I will make every effort to capture as many as possible. I simply must have it, perhaps even in the form of a physical figure.”It should be noted that the plushie is currently on sale, but will only be available to players in Honolulu during the event.

It was anticipated that the tasks for Pikachu would be difficult, however, trainers noted that it could also be found in 1-Star Raids, making it an easy challenge to overcome. It is important to note that the World Championship Pikachu cannot be found in the wild.

The 2024 event will take place from Friday, August 16 at 10 AM until Tuesday, August 20 at 8 PM (local time). In addition to the special Pikachu, participants will have the opportunity to use Charged TMs to eliminate Frustration from their Shadow attackers.

To easily defeat Pikachu Raids, simply utilize one of Pokemon Go’s strongest Ground-type attackers such as Primal Groudon, Mega Garchomp, or Excadrill.
