Pokemon Go’s Avatar Clothing Advertisements Criticized for Deceptive Designs

Pokemon Go players are expressing their dissatisfaction with the deceptive advertisements for the upcoming Fan Fest, which feature character models that are no longer available in the game.

The alterations to the character avatars and items in Pokemon Go have sparked outrage among the fanbase, with many criticizing them for being unattractive and unappealing.

Some of the outfit changes have faced criticism for modifying already-existing items or even making them unavailable. This has caused frustration for some fans who have previously purchased these avatar items with real money and can no longer afford them.

Another concern has emerged as the new avatar update has only recently been globally released, and there are still advertisements for upcoming events featuring the old designs.

The website for the upcoming Pokemon Go Fan Fest 2024 promotes avatar items featuring outdated character models, even though they are no longer available in the game.

It appears that the official social media accounts are currently up to date. The Pokemon Go Twitter/X page has been updated with a new image that only displays items and not avatars. However, some users on the Pokemon Go Reddit have pointed out that this photo is misleading in regards to an upcoming event.

It is our hope that the website will be updated in the near future and that all upcoming promotional material will feature the new avatars. Additionally, we are optimistic that the inclusion of these character models in advertisements will encourage Niantic to revert the changes and restore everyone’s original trainer.
