The recently introduced Pokemon from the Galar Region in Pokemon Go are depleting Pokeball reserves at a rapid pace, as they are exceptionally challenging to capture.
Recently, Pokemon Go underwent a significant change with the launch of its new season. Following months of anticipation, the game finally implemented a Dynamax feature and included numerous beloved Pokemon from the Galar Region.
The three starter Pokemon from Sword and Shield, Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble, made their debut in Go All Out, an event that can be accessed from September 3 to September 10.
Players have been given the opportunity to capture these adorable Pokemon and obtain their corresponding evolutions. However, even though they can be encountered in the wild, their appearance rate is extremely low.
Despite the convenience of the Galar Calling special research in obtaining one of the starters, trainers are still struggling to find the other two in the wild. This is causing major issues for trainers.

The low spawn rate of Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble is not surprising considering their central role in the new event and their ability to Dynamax. This is just one of the many reasons why there are multiple factors at play.
Despite players noticing that Galar starters are small and distant in the wild, they have also observed that it can be challenging to successfully hit them with a good or great throw.
Specifically, trainers are struggling with Grookey the most due to its “ridiculously small catch circle,”making it challenging to successfully throw a Poké Ball.
“One trainer noted that Grookey’s catch circle is identical to that of Scatterbug. Another player shared their experience of Pokeballs bouncing off the heads of both Pokemon.”
Some have confessed to utilizing several Great and Ultra Balls on Grookey, which are usually saved for more challenging Pokemon like Legendaries.
“Another trainer chimed in, stating that they had encountered legendary raid mons in the past that were much easier to catch compared to these ones.”
Although trainers are urging Niantic to modify the Galar starter’s catch circles for easier access, it remains to be seen if any changes will actually be implemented.
Currently, players must be prepared to spend more Poke Balls in order to catch Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble and add them to their collection.
