Pokemon Go’s Master League in the Upcoming Season is Set to be a Chaotic Experience

During the 2024 Pokemon World Championships, competitors from all over the world gathered to compete on stage. While thousands of viewers watched from home, The Pokemon Company seized the opportunity to share numerous updates and details about Pokemon Go and other games in the franchise.

Pokemon Go enthusiasts will be delighted to learn that Niantic has once again hinted at Dynamax and a stronger emphasis on Galar. However, the most significant revelation was the extensive revamp of PvP, which was officially confirmed during a Pokemon Go livestream. Many creatures, attacks, and other elements will undergo changes.

Ever since the announcement, enthusiastic Pokemon Go players who are keen on competing have been thoroughly examining the modifications. Members of the Reddit community SilphRoad have been delving into the details and it appears that the upcoming Master League season could bring about a state of “complete chaos”in battles.

Master League for next season is pure chaos! Rhyperior and Florges top 10! Groudon and Kyogre gone. Lots of wasted XL… byu/Shundo_Ray100 inTheSilphRoad

The recent changes have brought about a variety of updates, such as powerful Pokemon receiving new moves, certain Pocket Monsters being either strengthened or weakened, and the swap timer being shortened from 60 seconds to 50 seconds. However, some fans believe that these changes spell trouble for long-time favorites like Kyogre and Groudon.

The information is sourced from pvpoke.com, which takes into account various factors, including move strength, to generate rankings for every available Pokemon in each league. It appears that the biggest changes are expected to happen in the Master League.

Fans expressed their thoughts on the changes, with one individual noting that Rhyperior’s high usage could potentially be countered by Palkia in its Origin Forme. In addition, some comments mention that Primarina’s typing may come as a surprise and potentially shake up the meta.

Many others concurred, adding that “Primarina will probably be a threat in all formats. It’s a powerful Fairy-type with a high-damage move like Hydro Cannon… The prominence of Water-types continues to advance.”

Despite some disagreement with Pvpoke’s prediction, it seems that Dialga has been significantly impacted by the shuffle. A comment suggested that Dialga may not be as low as predicted and that not all players will rely on Rhyperior to counter it.

Hopefully, when the dust settles, time will reveal the impact of these changes. Additionally, it is anticipated that there will be new Pokemon from the Galar region joining the competitive ranks.
