Pokémon Go players are frustrated by a Research Task that one player called “the worst Field Research ever.”
Field Research tasks have proven to be a key way for Pokémon Go players to earn various rewards and progress in their Research Breakthrough.
These challenges have generally been short and fairly easy, such as “Take a photo of a wild Pokémon”or “Make 3 effect throws.”
However, some have proven to be much more difficult or do not offer enough rewards, often leading players to criticize Niantic for Research Tasks or avoid them altogether.
Now, one player has revealed what he believes to be the worst Field Research task of all time, as players quickly rallied to agree and express their disgust for the newly added challenge.
Pokémon Go players criticize Niantic for certain tasks
Pokémon Go player honeybeelvr simply posted: “Worst Field Research Ever,” alongside a screenshot of his lengthy Welcome Group task and its rewards that were widely considered insufficient.
“Knowing that there are 60 more Group Challenges coming after this one pushes me over the edge,” they further said. With the Research Task requiring the completion of a whopping 30 Group Challenges, community players were also eager to voice their frustrations.
One player replied: “Oh no. This one can stay on the Challenge tab for eternity as a monument to their stupidity,” while another added: “I downplayed it with no intention of doing so. It’s not worth the time and effort.”
These responses echo those of many others, while others detailed their situation more precisely: “These tasks will be my downfall. Other than my husband, none of my friends in Pokémon Go live close enough to join a group. And my husband doesn’t play that often. I don’t even want to think about how long it will take me to complete these tasks.”
Whether you agree or not, completing different Field Research tasks and obtaining more stamps to advance your Research Breakthrough can provide you with some useful benefits. Even if you just avoid ones like this and focus on the easier ones.
