Pokémon Pocket seems like the perfect app for more casual players and collectors in the community, and it’s packed with cool features. So here’s what you need to know about release window speculation, key features like trades, and more.
What is Pokémon Pocket?
Presented during Pokemon Presents, Pokémon Pocket is a TCG (collectible card game) application. It will have many social features. It will allow players to have a digital card collection and even “open two packs per day at no cost” .
The cards in Pokémon Pocket look particularly beautiful, with vibrant designs that expand when touched. The act of opening packs is also immersive, which should be great for collectors who enjoy tearing apart booster packs.

Several Pokémon Pocket features were demonstrated during the Pokemon Presents 2024 Showcase, including the ability to trade with friends and participate in quick battles. Quick Battles thus appear to be a much simpler version of standard Pokémon TCG gameplay.
It’s also important to note that the Showcase trailer mentioned that some features, like trading, might not be present in the app when it initially launches. So at the moment, Pokémon Pocket seems to be comparable to something like Marvel Snap, or Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links.
Pokémon Pocket release date
The Pokemon Company revealed during the Pokemon Presents 2024 Showcase that Pokémon Pocket will be released in 2024. However, no additional information was given. We will be sure to update this article as more information becomes available.
